With huge support across the reviewing platforms, Two Hands Café is little, comfortable, and serviced by some of loveliest people you’ll find. Oh yes, and its coffee is amazing.

Okay, let’s talk Ona Coffee. If you’re new to Canberra, it will be recommended to you as best coffee in Fyshwick, as it’s a point of pride for a lot of Canberrans.

Founded in 2008, Ona’s impressive list of accomplishments makes it is easy to see why: World Barista Champion (2015), Australian Barista Champion (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019), Australian Brewers Cup Champion (2017, 2018, 2019) and Australian Coffee in Good Spirits Champion (2018, 2019).

While Trip Advisor reviews haven’t been kind of late, Google’s have been more generous.

Red Baron

Technically in Symonston (the other side of Canberra Avenue from Fyshwick), Red Baron deserves a mention. It’s highly rated by Google users and CW staff for its lovely atmosphere, great coffee and chai, and friendly service.

It’s spacious and has funky décor, comfy chairs and good coffee.

“This place is tucked away in Symonston but it’s perfect for a catchup with friends.
Atmosphere is good.
Food terrific – they have a good variety. They make the best hot chocolate. Prices are reasonable.
Very clean. Staff friendly & helpful. Well run by Peter & Dan.”
