Dressed by Vinnies

On Friday 26 October, St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn will celebrate Dressed by Vinnies Day, an inaugural event being promoted nationally by the St Vincent de Paul Society. “It is a really easy way for organisations to create ongoing support for the good works of the Society with very little effort,” says St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn CEO Barnie van Wyk. “The profits made by Vinnies shops are returned to the community through a variety of Vinnies services to help break the cycle of poverty. Last year, the St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn assisted over 40,000 people.” Dressed by Vinnies Day encourages people to visit a Vinnies store and purchase an item – or whole outfit – to wear on the 26th. Organisations can keep it simple or create a theme.

Baby Bath Teas

Founded by husband and wife duo in Newcastle, NSW, Willow by the Sea is an organic skincare brand that caters primarily to babies, while also providing products for expecting and postpartum mothers. The products are made in Australia from pure 100% certified organic ingredients including botanicals, oils and waxes. The collection includes baby bath teas, baby oil, belly oil, belly butter and bottom balm with signature ingredients that are gentle, kind and delicious smelling. The collection was inspired after founders, Luke and Corina, lived overseas and began to notice ‘organic’ or ‘natural’ baby skin products contained additives, fillers and chemicals. Willow by the Sea believes that every child should feel happy in their skin. Made from pure ingredients, the teas are the perfect alternative to soap, gentle, moisturising and won’t dry out skin.

Available via willowbythesea.com, $29.
