VERV: Culture is key for property’s new players

For Jason Roses and Natalie Shawcross, the directors of new, boutique real estate agency VERV, culture is key.

“We just want to give people a better experience. We’re all about tailoring our service to people’s individual needs, and listening to them and caring about their situation,” Shawcross says.

Roses adds that the VERV team want to offer a boutique service that specialises and focuses on the most important thing: the client.

“I think [with] a lot of the bigger brands, the clients do get lost, they don’t get as much of that personalised service.”

The duo are big on embedding a staff culture they can be proud of, and say the right culture means the right staff and the best outcome for clients.

“If the staff aren’t feeling amazing, or happy, or they don’t love coming to work, how can they give that ‘wow’ experience to the client?” Roses says.

Roses and Shawcross come to the table with more than 25 years of real estate experience between them, Roses in residential real estate, having previously run one of Canberra’s largest offices, and Shawcross in commercial.

They want every single client – be it a first home buyer, a seasoned investor or a commercial property owner – to feel that their property is special, no matter the sale price.

It’s this passion for client service and a quality experience that’s led them to team up to offer their expertise in the world of real estate.

“Everyone’s home or property is important to them,” Roses says. “So how we present that to the market is very important.”

The VERV team will offer a full-service approach with all the trimmings, whether it’s a one-bedroom apartment or a multi-million dollar rural property, working across residential sales and management and commercial management right across Canberra.

“It’s rare for a real estate brand to do all three,” says Roses.
