Two new COVID cases in Queanbeyan, three in Bega Valley

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded five new cases of COVID-19 overnight, with two in Quaenbeyan-Palerang.

The two new Queanbeyan COVID infections are both in Karabar and are linked to known cases.

The remaining three cases are all in the Bega Valley LGA with two in Pambula and one in Candelo.

One of the cases in Pambula is under investigation with the other linked to a known infection. The case in Candelo remains under investigation.

This brings the total number of cases in the SNSWLHD to 484 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have cases under ‘virtual care’ are Queanbeyan-Palerang (55), Goulburn (1), Eurobodalla (1), Yass Valley (5) and Bega Valley (4).

There are two people in hospital with the virus.
