Two new COVID-19 cases in Queanbeyan

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded two new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, with both in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region.

One case is in Queanbeyan and the other is in Karabar. One of cases has been linked while the other is under investigation.

Despite two new cases, the total cases in the SNSWLHD is has dropped to 407 since the start of the outbreak in June. This is due to four cases being removed from the total and allocated to other LHDs and the ACT.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have cases under ‘virtual care’ are Queanbeyan-Palerang (31), Goulburn (22), Eurobodalla (2), Yass (4), Bega Valley (4) and the Snowy Monaro region (15).

“Virtual care” means caring for patients using technology, while they stay at their own homes.

There are three people in hospital with the virus.
