GIO Stadium is getting ready to welcome its largest crowd back into the venue this weekend since the beginning of COVID restrictions, and there’s a team of people making it all possible.
The Brumbies have continued their unbeaten start to Vodafone Super Rugby AU with a comprehensive 24-0 victory over the Western Force at Leichhardt Oval in Sydney last night, Saturday 25 July.
A pilot stadium project will allow fans to return to GIO Stadium Canberra as both the Brumbies and Raiders prepare to host matches at the venue early next month.
The previously-axed Western Force will feature in a revised Australian-only Super Rugby competition which Rugby Australia is aiming to stage from 3 July to 19 September in a round robin format, pending final discussions with broadcasters.
