East coast on alert for more wild weather

Wild weather is set to return to Australia's east coast and along the Great Australian Bight, just as communities hit hard by flooding begin cleaning up. 

Rain, thunderstorms to impact ACT, southern Australia 

A cold front is bringing rain and thunderstorms to South Australia and southern parts of the Northern Territory today, the Bureau of Meteorology warns. The front will move into far western Queensland, NSW, the ACT and Victoria later today with rain and thunderstorms impacting large areas of the eastern states on Thursday.

Forecasters warn of third La Nina year for Eastern Australia

Australians are most likely in for a third year of wetter weather than usual with forecasters predicting a 70 per cent likelihood of La Nina remaining.

ACT SES flooded with calls for help as heavy rain continues

As heavy rainfall continues across Canberra, the ACT State Emergency Service has received more than 120 requests for assistance from the Canberra community.
