Southern NSW records 19 new COVID cases, 8 in Queanbeyan

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded 19 new COVID cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, with eight in the Queanbeyan area.

Just two of the eight cases in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region are linked with the remaining six under investigation. Four of the new cases are in Jerrabomberra, two are in Karabar, one is in Queanbeyan and one is in Crestwood.

The Snowy Monaro area has recorded another ten cases with just three of those linked. Seven of the cases are in Jindabyne with the remaining three in Cooma.

Eurobodalla recorded one new case in Dalmeny which is under investigation.

There have now been 290 total cases in the SNSWLHD since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have active cases are Queanbeyan-Palerang (109), Goulburn (53), Eurobodalla (34), Yass (13), Bega Valley (3) and the Snowy Monaro region (42).

There are currently eight people in hospital with the virus.
