Southern NSW records 11 new COVID cases

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded 11 new COVID cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Ten of the COVID cases are in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region with all under investigation. Eight are in Queanbeyan and two are in Karabar.

The remaining case is in Goulburn which is also under investigation.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have cases under ‘virtual care’ are Queanbeyan-Palerang (30), Goulburn (5), Eurobodalla (2), Yass Valley (4), Bega Valley (1), Upper Lachlan (1) and the Snowy Monaro region (1).

There is one person in hospital with the virus.

The NSW Health website has detailed information about the way COVID-19 patients are assessed and cared for.

The news comes as NSW recorded 304 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths while the became the first jurisdiction in Australia to have over 90 per cent of people aged 12 and over fully vaccinated.
