Seven more COVID cases in Southern NSW, 2 in Queanbeyan

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) recorded another seven cases to 8pm last night, with two in Queanbeyan.

The two cases in the Queanbeyan region are yet to be linked and remain under investigation.

There are also three new cases in Goulburn which are all linked to known cases.

Yass recorded two fresh infections which are both linked to known cases.

The total number of cases in the SNSWLHD now sits at 76 since the current outbreak started in June.

Nine cases have recovered which leaves 67 active cases in the community.

21 of those active cases are in the Queanbeyan and surrounding region.

There are three other regions in double figures of active cases with Batemans Bay and Catalina (15), Yass (14) and Goulburn (11).

Meanwhile Cooma has two and Narooma just one active case and three are no longer in the district.

Anyone with symptoms are instructed to isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.

Symptoms that could signal COVID‑19 including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever.
