Sacked Scott pleads not guilty to assault

Sacked Canberra Raiders player Curtis Scott has pleaded not guilty to assaulting another man at a nightclub.

Scott, 23, pleaded not guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday through lawyer Adrian McKenna.

He is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm against a 31-year-old man at nightclub in the Canberra CBD on May 30.

Scott did not appear in court in person. 

The Raiders released him from the final two years of his contract last Monday. 

His case is due back in court for a pre-hearing mention on November 8.
