Raiders staff member tests positive to COVID-19

The Canberra Raiders have confirmed that a member of the club’s football staff has tested positive for COVID-19.

All players and staff have now been directed to undertake a COVID test and isolate.

The club is awaiting further direction from ACT Health and are following all NRL protocols.

The statement said that the club will provide a further update once the process has been finalised.

The Raiders are the latest NRL team to confirm a positive case, coming a day after Newcastle announced development player Chris Vae’lia had tested positive for coronavirus.

Knights players were sent home from training, but those who have returned negative test results returned to the club on Wednesday.

Earlier this week, two cases were recorded from a NSW Blues camp across the weekend, from members of both the Emerging Blues men’s squad and the Sky Blues women’s camp.
