Queanbeyan records 7 new coronavirus cases

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded seven new coronavirus cases overnight, with all of them in the Queanbeyan region.

All seven COVID-19 cases in the Queanbeyan-Palerang area remain under investigation. Four are in Karabar and three in Queanbeyan.

The total number of cases in the SNSWLHD is now 453 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have cases under ‘virtual care’ are Queanbeyan-Palerang (42), Goulburn (5), Eurobodalla (2), Yass Valley (3), Bega Valley (1), Upper Lachlan (1) and the Snowy Monaro region (1).

There are two people in hospital with the virus.

The NSW Health website has detailed information about the way COVID-19 patients are assessed and cared for.

The SNSWLHD also announced changes to testing clinics in the Eurobodalla region.

A new clinic will open on Monday 1 November at Gundary Oval, Campbell Street, Moruya. The clinic will operate 9.00am to 3.00pm Monday – Saturday.

The Hanging Rock Batemans Bay clinic will close today Friday 29 October while the Moruya Hospital clinic will close on Sunday 31 October.
