Queanbeyan records 204 COVID cases, 467 in Southern NSW

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded 467 new COVID cases with 204 infections coming in Queanbeyan.

Today’s numbers are well up on yesterday’s 285 COVID cases in Southern NSW and 141 in Queanbeyan.

The number of people in hospital with the virus has risen by four to 20 with three people in the ICU. 43 people are under active care, down from 51 yesterday.

There are now 3,468 active COVID cases in the SNSWLHD with the total number of infections up to 4,679 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The Queanbeyan Palerang LGA recorded 204 new COVID-19 cases.

Goulburn Mulwaree LGA recorded 94 new cases.

Snowy Monaro LGA has 55 new COVID infections.

Bega Valley LGA has 47 new infections.

Eurobodalla LGA has 39 new cases.

Yass Valley LGA reported 16 COVID-19 cases.

Upper Lachlan reported 12 new cases.

Meanwhile, NSW recorded 34,759 new infections and 21 deaths.

Some 2242 people are in hospital with COVID-19 across NSW, 175 of them in intensive care.

The new cases were diagnosed from 134,411 PCR tests on Tuesday, meaning one in four people tested returned a positive result.
