Queanbeyan has four new COVID cases, 10 in Southern NSW

Queanbeyan has recorded four new COVID cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night out of the 10 total in the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD).

Two of the four COVID cases in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region have been linked to known cases. Two cases are in Queanbeyan, one is in Jerrabomberra and one is in Karabar.

There are five new cases in the Snowy Monaro area. All are in Cooma and all have been linked.

Goulburn recorded one new case and it remains under investigation.

There have now been 389 total cases in the SNSWLHD since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have active cases are Queanbeyan-Palerang (135), Goulburn (58), Eurobodalla (23), Yass (1), Bega Valley (8) and the Snowy Monaro region (77).

The number of people in hospital with the virus has dropped to three.
