NSW man charged with attempted murder over Kingston stabbing

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives have successfully extradited a 25-year-old man from NSW to face charges of attempted murder over a stabbing in Kingston earlier this month, after he was arrested by NSW Police yesterday afternoon.   

Detectives identified the man had travelled to NSW following a stabbing in Kingston on Saturday evening, 5 March, and with the assistance of NSW Police he was arrested yesterday.   

He appeared before court in Nowra today, Thursday 10 March, where an extradition request was granted.  

He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday 11 March, to face charges of attempted murder and intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm. Bail will be opposed.
