A new display village in the NSW township of Googong is set to open this Saturday 31 October, with 19 homes from 15 builders.
The township has proved popular among young buyers and a spokesperson for Googong, Penny Forrest, said the display village would have “something for everyone”.
“[Display villages] provide inspiration for future homes, allow buyers to connect with potential builders, and give people a feel for what they want in a home.
“Googong is experiencing record interest and sales because of the better value on offer for buyers and the lifestyle benefits available within the community. Given the current interest in moving to Googong, the timing of the new display village couldn’t be better,” she said.
“The size of the display village also can’t be understated – you could say it’s the biggest thing to happen in the region since the Big Merino.”
Googong welcomed its first residents in 2014 and is currently home to more than 5,000 people. It is expected to eventually be home to around 18,000 residents, with plans in the works for the development of a town centre with a retail, entertainment and wellbeing precinct. A secondary public school, public library, fire station, aged care facility and community centre has also been proposed as part of the town centre.
The township is already home to the Village Shopping Centre and the Anglican School Googong which takes students from Kindergarten to year 10 and is expected to expand to year 12 by 2023.
The village will open from Saturday 31 October and will be open each week from Saturday to Wednesday 11am-4pm.
The new Googong display village will be home to houses from Achieve Homes; APA Homes; BBS Homes; BLD Homes Burbank; DJ Homes; Dixon Homes; Exceed Homes; G.J. Gardner Homes; Ideal Building Solutions; JD Homes; McDonald Jones Homes; Thrive Homes; Rawson Homes; and Vogue Constructions.
