Mercedes seized as woman faces drug charges

Police yesterday seized a Mercedes sedan from a 29-year-old Scullin woman who will face the ACT Magistrates Court today on drugs and weapons charges, Friday 28 August.

ACT Policing executed a warrant at the woman’s residence yesterday where they found more than $16,000 in cash, paraphernalia and a safe containing 180ml of a liquid police suspect to be controlled substance gamma-butyrolactone (GBL).   

Two electrical discharge devices (similar to a taser) were also discovered.

Police seized the black Mercedes GLA45 (pictured) under the suspicion it was purchased with the proceeds of crime.

The woman will appear before court today charged with:

  • Trafficking controlled drugs
  • Prohibited weapon possession/use not authorised by permit (two counts)
  • Possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime (two counts)

Further charges may be laid.
