Red Nose is believed to be the first Australian charity to create face masks in response to demand from Australians in lockdown.

Swamped with requests from Melbournians and people across Australia for a Red Nose Day face mask, Red Nose Australia has released limited edition face masks ahead of Red Nose Day, Friday 14 August.

Available until sold out, Australians can visit the Red Nose Day online store to order their $15 mask – believed to be the first charity face mask in Australia.

All funds go towards stopping the alarming rate of 3,000 Aussie babies dying suddenly and unexpectedly each year; and also towards support services for grief-stricken families who lose a baby.

According to Keren Ludski, CEO Red Nose Australia, “COVID-19 has presented all of us with many challenges, but just imagine what it’s been like for the thousands of Australian families who have lost a baby during this time?”

“Red Nose is there, providing much-needed virtual grief support around the clock thanks to the generosity of Australians who dig deep each Red Nose Day,” she said.

The limited-edition face mask features the iconic Red Nose and will help those in lockdown areas show their support this Red Nose Day – Friday 14 August.

Red Nose Australia currently has their first 250 limited edition face masks available for order now. The masks are made of cotton and are three-layer reusable designs.

The face masks are another creative way Red Nose is encouraging Australians who can to give generously this Red Nose Day.

Australians can also get silly for this serious cause by having fun with two new social media Digital Red Noses. Aussies are encouraged to screenshot themselves wearing official Red Nose Australia Digital Red Nose filters in Instagram and Facebook, make a donation, and submit their photo to become one of the Faces of Red Nose Day – to be featured in the charity’s billboard ads and online from now until 14 August.
