Stage two of upgrades to the Kambah Village Shopping Centre has begun, with work starting on the south-east of the centre.
Upgrades will include a new shaded common gathering space with the current grassed area to be replaced with irrigated grass, and the addition of new trees, a barbecue shelter and picnic settings. Existing trees will be replaced with deciduous varieties and the existing playground will see the addition of new equipment and a new shade sail.
Other improvements include new toilets, more seating, upgraded pedestrian lighting and pavement, as well as additional parking and a commercial bin enclosure.
A private redevelopment of the shops has also been proposed, which would include a covered entryway to the shops, a major extension to Woolworths and more retail spaces.
