Just one new COVID-19 case detected in Queanbeyan

Queanbeyan-Palerang has recorded one new case of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours to 8pm last night, down from the seven announced yesterday.

The fresh coronavirus case is in isolation with the source of the infection still under investigation. The suburb of the case has not be specified due to patient privacy.

It is the only new case in the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) and it takes the total number of cases in the region to 454 since the start of the outbreak.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have cases under ‘virtual care’ are Queanbeyan-Palerang (43), Goulburn (5), Eurobodalla (2), Yass Valley (3), Bega Valley (1), Upper Lachlan (1) and the Snowy Monaro region (1).

There are two people in hospital with the virus.
