Geocon is celebrating the completion of their High Society development in Belconnen by hosting an Open Day for the community on Saturday 28 November.
The development, which forms stage two of the Republic Precinct in Belconnen, makes up Canberra’s two tallest residential towers and is home to nearly 600 apartments.
Geocon’s managing director Nick Georgalis said around 1,500 people will soon call the towers home, joining the around 1,000 that already live in the precinct in the Dusk and Republic developments.
“It’s pleasing to finally see people in and around the High Society towers, fulfilling our original intention for this site as a genuine mixed-use precinct where people live, work or come to meet friends and be entertained,” Georgalis said.
“An Open Day is the perfect opportunity for people to come and see the Precinct as we hoped from concept to reality. For residents, there is no-where in Canberra, and very few places in NSW, which boast such rich levels of amenity.”
Included at High Society’s towers is an infinity pool, sauna, spa and kids’ playroom, as well as a meeting space, residents’ library, wine cellar and dining room and a cinema and observation deck on level 23.
The western tower is home to the 152-room Abode Belconnen hotel and eatery No. 10, both of which opened in October.
Upon topping out in July, High Society entered the list that is Canberra’s top five tallest buildings, and Geocon has seven in the top 10.
Geocon is inviting all members of the community, including those who have seen the towers take to the sky over the last two years, to come and check out the newly completed development at the Open Day.
The Open Day will be held on Saturday 28 November 10am-4pm on site at the Republic precinct, Grazier’s Lane, Belconnen Town Centre.
