Four new COVID cases in Queanbeyan, 17 in Southern NSW

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded 17 new COVID-19 cases, with four in the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA.

The four Queanbeyan cases are spread out with two in Googong and one each in Queanbeyan and Jerrabomberra.

Three cases are in the Snowy Monaro LGA, all in Jindabyne.

The Eurobodalla LGA has reported three cases, one in Batemans Bay and two in Batehaven.

Bega Valley has three new cases, one each in Kalaru, Bermagui and Frogs Hollow.

Goulburn Mulwaree recorded two new cases with one in Goulburn and one in Taralga.

Yass Valley also recorded two cases, one in Yass and the other in Springrange.

This brings the total number of cases in the SNSWLHD to 687 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have cases under ‘virtual care’ are Queanbeyan Palerang (18), Snowy Monaro (16), Goulburn Mulwaree (9) Eurobodalla (8), Bega Valley (7) and Yass Valley (7).

There are two people in hospital with the virus.

The news comes as NSW recorded 5,612 COVID-19 cases and one death, while the ACT reported 102 infections.
