Foodies Fair

If you’re taking a trip out to the Canberra Wedding Fair (CWF), make sure you check out the free Foodies Fair while you’re there! There will be The Pizza Trailer, Tikka Stand and Pure Gelato pop-ups, with live entertainment, a jumping castle, and mocktails in an ‘instaworthy’ cabana.

Sunday 24 February 10am-3pm at the AIS. Visit canberraweddingfair.com.au for more details.

Bentspoke spice it up

Canberra brewery BentSpoke is brewing a beer with 23 chillies and heritage grains to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the National Multicultural Festival. ‘The Blazing Saddle’ was brewed to celebrate Australia’s multicultural heritage. “Chillies are an important part of so many cultures, so it was an easy decision for us to use them as a feature of this special event beer,” says co-owner and head brewer, Richard Watkins.

The Blazing Saddle will be available at the BentSpoke stall at the National Multicultural Festival, 15-17 February, and at their Braddon location and King O’Malley’s until sold out.

A scoop of love

Gelatissimo has partnered with the McGrath Foundation to create a limited-edition gelato flavour, Ruby Love; 50c from each sale will go towards the Foundation and its McGrath Breast Care Nurses, who provide free physical, psychological and emotional support for families experiencing breast cancer across Australia. Ruby Love is a pink gelato made with seedless raspberries, rosewater, locally baked meringue and a ruby chocolate swirl.

Ruby Love is available at Gelatissimo while stocks last.

Wedding catering, delivered

Food delivery company Deliveroo now also caters weddings. Its Deliveroo for Business platform will allow the happy couple to select their desired menu from multiple cuisine types. Working outside of the app, couples will receive an account manager to help them navigate through the options.
