Firearms and counterfeit currency seized in Chisholm

ACT Policing’s Proactive Intervention and Disruption Team executed a search warrant in Chisholm on Friday 9 October and located two firearms stolen in New South Wales.

About 1pm on Friday, police executed the search warrant and seized the two firearms, ammunition, a gel blaster, a conducted energy weapon, counterfeit currency, and stolen property.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.

The Proactive Intervention and Disruption Team was launched in August 2020. It is part of ACT Policing’s transition to the new Community-focused Police Services Model, focused on taking a proactive and system-wide approach to crime prevention, disruption and response.
