Fab finds at Décor Living

Tired of seeing cookie cutter homewares and furnishings? For one-off pieces offering individual flair for your home, make sure to visit Décor Living before it closes its doors.

The iconic store located at 134 Gladstone Street, Fyshwick has been operating in Canberra for 35 years and, according to owner Julie McPhail, “if you are looking for something different, this is where you come”.

Décor Living has an extensive range of pieces on offer including dining and lounge suites, feature chairs, artwork, lamps, sideboards, bookcases and more. And with a minimum of 30% off in-store, now is the ideal time to find something fab for your home.

“I think people have been spending a lot more time in their home environment and noticing some things that could do with an upgrade,” Julie says. “It’s just a good time to get a really great bargain.”

With a focus on Australian made furniture and supporting local manufacturers, the eclectic range is presented so customers “can get a bit of inspiration of how it could look in their home”.

As a long-term local business, Julie says they have developed a big following over the decades with second and third generations of customers returning to the shop. She attributes their longevity to their personalised approach.

“Every third or fourth customer who comes in I know,” Julie says. “We have established a lot of close friendships with our customers.”

With Décor Living due to close its doors at the end of May, Julie extends a “big thank you to all our supporters and loyal customers”.

“We are very grateful for all the regular support over the years.”

Décor Living is holding a 30-50% off sale, making it the perfect time to find some furniture as individual as you are. Located at 134 Gladstone Street in Fyshwick, the store is open 10am-4pm Monday to Saturday and closed Sunday.
