Canberra records one new COVID death, 475 cases

A Canberra man in his 90s has died with COVID as the ACT recorded a further 475 cases in the latest update.

The new death takes the ACT’s total number of COVID-related deaths to 31 since the start of the pandemic from 39,613 cases.

Of the 475 new cases in Canberra, 281 are from PCR tests and 194 are from rapid antigen tests.

There are 54 people in hospital with the virus, four are in the ICU with one requiring ventilation.

57.2 per cent of ACT residents aged 16 and over have received three doses of the COVID vaccine while 74.5 per cent of children aged between 5 and 11 have received one dose.
