Canberra records 15 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 15 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, with six people still in Canberra hospitals affected by the virus.

There are three patients in ICU with two requiring ventilation. The hospital number includes both active and cleared cases.

The number of active cases in the ACT is now 188, while the total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the Canberra outbreak is 1,963.

There was another spike in testing with 3,817 negative test results in the 24 hours to 9am this morning.

The ACT’s nation-leading vaccine rate continues to increase, with 97.4 per cent of over-12s being fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, NSW recorded 248 COVID cases and two deaths and Victoria had 1,196 new infections and three deaths.
