Canberra records 14 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 14 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night as three people remain in Canberra hospitals with the virus.

Of the three in hospital, one is in intensive care and requiring venitilation.

The active cases in the ACT now stands at 179 with the total number of infections during the current outbreak at 1,902.

The ACT reached the 97 per cent mark of fully vaccinated individuals aged 12 and over yesterday with the next update to come on Monday.

There were 2,201 negative tests in the past 24 hours, well down on yesterday’s figure of 4,243.

Meanwhile, NSW recorded 182 new coronavirus cases and no deaths, while Victoria had 1,116 new infections and five COVID-related deaths.
