Beyond Bank rewards local communities

This year has been challenging for many people. Despite the challenges, Beyond Bank Australia and their customers are delighted to be the bearer of good news for more than 400 grassroots groups, clubs and charities across Australia that have shared in a $640,000 cash windfall thanks to Beyond Bank’s unique annual giving program.

“The money was made available through the Community Reward Account,” says Kenyon Neal, Community Development Manager for Beyond Bank in the ACT.

“Thanks to this savings account, which allows you to nominate your favourite charity or local club, we donate a percentage of our profits based on your annual average balance to that charity,” says Mr Neal.

It’s a very innovative way of fundraising that allows you to financially support your local community group or club.

“Giving, as you know, is a very important part of our business, and so we are thrilled at the way this account continues to resonate with our customers. Year on year, the amount we have been donating to our charities big and small has been rising,” he says.

“This year, we were excited to present Canberra-based organisations with a total of $73,800 from Beyond Bank because of their supporters.”

Local groups such as the Domestic Violence Crisis Service, Dementia Australia, the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation and youth athletic groups such as Cricket ACT and Tuggeranong Valley Cricket Club were all delighted to receive the extra funding to help their organisations continue to flourish.

And as we all know, seeing the impact even a small amount of money can make to local community organisations is a pretty special feeling.

So, thank you Canberra for helping us build better, stronger and more inclusive communities. We simply couldn’t do it without you!
