Raiders miss top four spot

The Canberra Raiders went down to the Penrith Panthers, 28-12, in their Round 13 match over the weekend. The match looked won at half time when the Panthers led 24-0. The Green Machine showed their spirit in the second half as Nicoll-Klokstad scored a double for the team, both converted by Croker. The loss means the Canberra side missed their chance to move into the top four, still sitting in fifth place on the ladder. The Raiders will compete for a home win in Round 14 at GIO Stadium Canberra against the Brisbane Broncos this Saturday 15 August 7.35pm.

Brumbies’ winning streak ends

Previously unbeaten Super Rugby AU team, the Plus500 Brumbies lost to the Melbourne Rebels, 30-7, on Friday night at Leichhardt Oval, NSW. The Brumbies have a bye in Round 7 and will be back at GIO Stadium Canberra on 22 August to face the NSW Waratahs.
