The 23-year-old dominated the NPLW Queensland this year, scoring 31 times in 17 matches for Gold Coast United before moving to the Moreton Bay Jets to score 19 goals in nine outings. “It is just a really exciting opportunity for me, and I think (Canberra United Coach Heather Garriock) approached me after seeing what I had done during this season,” McElligott said.

Australian Baseball League
Canberra Cavalry will start their 2018-19 season by thanking the 988 individuals who supported the initial campaign for the club in 2009. Those individuals and organisations pledged $20 or more to the Let’s Do It, Canberra! campaign, and raised enough money to secure the Cavalry’s home in Canberra. On the night of their season opener, 6 December, the club will invite everyone who contributed to a reunion at the Fort at MIT Ballpark, Narrabundah.
