ACT sends 18 emergency service personnel to help NSW flood efforts

Eighteen ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) personnel have been deployed by the ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) today to assist in storm and flood recovery efforts across NSW.

This is in addition to the deployment of the Specialist Intelligence Gathering (SIG) helicopter for aerial support and intelligence, and seven staff and volunteers in Incident Management Team specialist roles including Public Information, Mapping and Incident Control.

In a media statement, the ACT ESA said the Agency remained well equipped to manage storm and flood incidents in the ACT, while ACTSES reminded the community to prepare their properties for the unpredictable nature of storms and heavy rainfall.

“We wish our departed crews safe travels and thank them for their commitment and support,” the statement concluded.
