The ACT has recorded seven new COVID-19 cases for the third consecutive day, while Canberra’s vaccination rate approaches 98 per cent.
Seven people also remain in hospital with the virus, five of them in intensive care.
Four of those five patients are on a ventilator.
The number of active cases in the national capital fell by eight to 154 on Monday.
The seven new infections takes the ACT to 2,000 total COVID-19 cases since the start of the current outbreak.
It is the fifth straight day of single digit case numbers after seven new cases on both Saturday and Sunday and eight on Thursday and Friday.
In the latest update to the ACT’s vaccination rate, 97.7 per cent of the 12-plus population is now double-dosed.
More than 1,500 negative tests were processed in the 24 hours to 9am on Monday.
Meanwhile, NSW recorded 150 new COVID-19 cases and no deaths while Victoria reported 1,007 infections and three deaths.
