ACT records 786 new COVID cases, one death

The ACT has recorded another 786 new COVID cases and the death of a woman in her 90s with the virus in the latest update.

There have now been 38 virus-related deaths in the ACT since the start of the pandemic from 60,654 total cases.

The number of COVID active cases in the ACT now stands at 3,896.

40 patients are in hospital with the virus in Canberra, four are in the ICU and none requiring ventilation.

79.3 per cent of children aged between 5 and 11 have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 70.7 per cent of ACT residents aged 16 and over have had three doses.
