ACT records 522 new COVID cases, no deaths

The ACT has recorded another 522 new COVID cases, the lowest daily number since 3 January and no deaths. 

The new cases include 326 PCR and 196 RAT results.

There are 64 patients with the virus in hospital including just one person in intensive care and requiring ventilation. 

Yesterday, Chief Minister Andrew Barr said that more than half of the people in hospital with COVID are not there because of the virus.

49 per cent of Canberra residents over 18 years have received a booster.

69.4 per cent of children aged five to 11 have had their first COVID vaccine. 

The ACT has now recorded 36,403 total COVID cases since March 2020 and 26 virus-related deaths.
