ACT records 375 new cases of COVID-19

The ACT has recorded 375 new cases of COVID-19 in the past reporting period.

Of the new cases, 187 came from PCR tests while 188 of those were from rapid antigen tests.

It’s the lowest number of daily cases in Canberra for a week.

The ACT has now recorded a total of 41,728 COVID-19 cases with 31 virus-related deaths.

There are 2,453 active cases in Canberra.

The number of hospitalisations from COVID-19 in the ACT has remained stable, with 51 patients being treated.

There are four people in intensive care with two requiring ventilation.

The ACT’s booster rate for those 16 and over has passed 60 per cent following the weekend.

Meanwhile, 75.9 per cent of five to 11-year-olds have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
