New data has revealed Australians’ top 50 pleasures in life, with sleeping in a freshly made bed, a nice dinner and payday in the top 10.

A study commissioned by Small Luxury Hotels of the World polled 1,000 adults in Australia to determine all the little things that bring joy.

Favourites on the list included having a good hair day, getting a new delivery in the post, having a picnic and cake.

The study also found that more than half of those polled believe they don’t get to enjoy life’s simplest pleasures often enough, while 41% feel they don’t have enough time in their day-to-day to take advantage of small pleasures as much as they would like.

This long weekend, take time to discover the joy in these simple pleasures and let us know if your favourite made the list.
