25 new COVID-19 cases in Southern NSW, 8 in Queanbeyan

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded 25 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, with eight in the Queanbeyan area.

All of the eight cases in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region are still under investigation. Three of the cases are in Karabar, two are in Crestwood, two are in Wamboin and there is one in Bungendore.

Goulburn recorded six new cases which are all under investigation.

After just two cases yesterday, the Snowy Monaro area has recorded another nine new cases today with just three linked. Three are in Cooma, four in Jindabyne and two in Crackenback.

There have now been 342 total cases in the SNSWLHD since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have active cases are Queanbeyan-Palerang (117), Goulburn (52), Eurobodalla (22), Yass (1), Bega Valley (3) and the Snowy Monaro region (60).

There are four people in hospital with the virus.
