ACT Policing has arrested a 24-year-old Yarralumla man after a burglary in Campbell and the theft of a car from Crace and number plates from Lawson. The man had entered into a Good Behaviour Order in Court on Tuesday 7 June.

About 9.10am Thursday the Corolla, with the stolen number plates attached, was used in the burglary of a residence in Vasey Street, Campbell, during which the occupant of the house was confronted by the offender.

On Thursday afternoon, the Corolla was located by police in Yarralumla outside the 24-year-old’s residence and seized.

About 10pm Thursday, police arrested the 24-year-old man after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle he was driving in Kingston.

The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today 10 June on charges of driving a motor vehicle without consent, two counts of knowingly concerned burglary, and breach of good behaviour obligations.
