19-year-old woman dies in single vehicle crash at Black Mountain

The ACT has recorded its 10th road fatality of 2022 following a single vehicle collision at Black Mountain last night, Saturday 5 June.

About 10.15pm, police and emergency services were called to a single vehicle collision on Black Mountain Road.   

A Toyota coupe with a 19-year-old woman driving (and the only occupant) had collided with a tree after failing to negotiate a bend in the road.   

Emergency services were able to remove the woman from her vehicle and she was transported to hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.   

This is the 10th road fatality in the ACT this year. Police continue to urge drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions.   

ACT Road Policing’s Major Collision Team is conducting an investigation into the collision and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
